25th May 2012
Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip
Wind Direction: ENE
Wind Stength: 13-20kts
Surf / Sea State: falet to bumpy
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: 20C
Max Speed: 25.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 13 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

5***** and best sail of the year today ENE 13-20kts bumpy on the outer flatter inner.
Rigged 7.2 Hellcat / Hawk 135 to try out performance.
Conditions were great, sunny and several out and sailed 5 – 7.30pm
Gybes were dire on the Hawk as went overpowered in the gust and pretty much out of control on the turn
Switched to JP 120 Excite ride Pro edition / 7.2 Hellcat and that is one fantastic board.
It carried my 105 hulk without much input to 25.9 on open sea, slightly faster than the Hawk, but with superb control. Gybes great, only my clumsiness let it down.
The JP is the best board I have owned and I have tried over 30 different boards so far.
Went looking for flat water near the kiters, but was still bumpy, but someone sailing in the river found some great flat water…next time!
Great sail….
